Marina FAQ

If you're coming by boat to Gunwharf Quays, then do please read through the below.

If you still have any unanswered questions, then please don't hesitate to contact our Marina Team on 023 9283 6732.

What services are there on the pontoons?

Gunwharf Quays Marina offers a full range of services including 16, 32 & 63 amp electricity, water and a pump out facility.

Where will my boat be berthed, and how much will it cost?

Berthing is allocated on the day depending on size & manoeuvrability of the boat, and the activities within the marina.

Costs range for example, from £8.40 for a 4 hr stay, overnights are £3.40/m during the summer & £2.80/m during the winter.

This year we have introduced a new Winter Berthing Offer, so please do contact the Marina Office to find out more.

What time do you close?

During the summer (BST) we are open until sunset, during the winter (GMT) the Marina Office closes at 5:30pm.

However, the Gunwharf Quays Control Room operates 24-hours a day and they take over the marina when the Marina Office is closed.

Can I put my boat in to the water at Gunwharf Quays Marina?

No, but there is a public slipway in the Camber Dock, just south of the marina.  For bigger craft there is a crane-in option with KB Boat Park, also situated in the Camber Dock.

How close can I bring my car to the marina?

You should use the Gunwharf Quays main car park - there are marina trolleys available for you to load / unload your vehicle if required.  The marina trolleys fit in to the lifts from the car park with no problems.

If your vehicle is over 2.2m high and you wish to deliver to the marina, then you must contact the Marina Office in advance of the delivery.

Where can I go for a day sail from Gunwharf Quays?

The waters of the Solent are easily accessible from Gunwharf Quays marina, with the Isle of Wight only a short sail away.

Where can I fill my boat up with fuel?

Gosport Marina is the closest place to refuel, and is on the opposite side of Portsmouth Harbour to Gunwharf Quays.

What security measures do you have in place to protect my boat?

There is 24-hour security on the pontoons, full CCTV coverage and regular security patrols.
